Als Fotograf gehören Bilder, Fotos von Menschen zu den interessantesten Arbeitsfeldern, egal ob ials Fashion-Fotograf oder in der Portraitfotografie. Düsseldorf hat, als mein Wahlstandort, ein gutes kulturelles und künstlerisches Bewußtsein und Selbstverständnis. Ihre Lage als Angelpunkt zwischen dem "sonstigen" Rheinland bei Köln und dem Ruhrgebiet mit der Achse Duisburg, Essen, Bochum, Dortmund, machen sie zu einem exponierten Standort im Raum Rhein-Ruhr.
Hier sehen Sie einen kleinen Ausschnitt aus meiner Arbeit als Fotograf.
Das Gesicht eines Menschen ist wie eine Landschaft. Es kann bezaubernd sein, wie die Tropen in Costa Rica, eine herbe Schönheit wie Patagonien, weit und klar wie die Linien der Atacama Wüste, und voller Überraschungen wie die Landschaften in den USA.
Eine Landschaft reagiert aber nicht auf die Anwesenheit des Fotografen, doch jeder Mensch tut dies auf seine Art und Weise, sei es im Fotostudio oder vor Ort. Ideal ist es, wenn ein Model vergisst, dass eine Kamera im Raum ist, oder sogar die Kamera für sich vereinnehmen kann. Ob dies der Fall ist, liegt nicht nur am Model, sondern zum großen Teil am Fotografen.
Gute, natürliche Bilder gelingen oft, wenn Menschen in ihrer eigenen Umgebung fotografiert werden, da diese und das Model ein natürliches und dichtes Ausdrucksfeld bilden. Unter Portrait und People, können Sie sich "ein Bild davon machen".
Modefotografie wirkt oft androgyn und unnahbar, dies ist so gewollt, denn Modefotografie ist fast immer künstlich. Es kommt darauf an, diese Künstlichkeit durch sich selbst vergessen zu machen und dem Bild dadurch eine Faszination zu geben. Es ensteht eine Faszination der Oberfläche als Ausdruck eines Kulturzustandes oder vergänglichen Zeitgeistes. Anders gesagt: l´art pour l´art.
Andererseits will man auch mal etwas anderes sehen, als geklonte Körper und Gesichter ohne Hautporen aus der Photoshop-Lackierstrasse, und aufgestylte Locations. In meiner Arbeit als Fotograf versuche ich die Natürlichkeit der Person auch in der Beauty-Fotografie zu erhalten. Auf übertriebene Retusche wird nicht nur bewußt, sondern aus Überzeugung verzichtet.
Die AV-Show, die Sie unter "Audio-Vision" finden ist ein Beispiel für eine audiovisuelle Präsentation mit Projektoren auf Großflächen, wie Kinoleinwände.
Die Aktfotografien zeigen ein Bild des Menschen, das seine Schönheit und Erotik durch den Körper und dessen Ausdruck gewinnt, was Kleider sonst verdecken würden.
Die Reportagefotos zeigen Menschen in einer bestimmten Umgebung unter bestimmten Voraussetzungen, die ihre Aktionen bestimmen. Sie wurden und werden in diversen Zeitungen und Magazinen gedruckt.

When working as a photographer, portraits from people are one of the most interesting fields, no matter if you´re working in fashion photography or portrait photography.
Dusseldorf was my choice to settle down, because of it´s self conception of art and culture. It´s location is a keypoint in between the city of Colone and the further "Rheinland" and the "Ruhrgebiet" with the axis Duisburg - Essen - Bochum - Dortmund.

The face of a human being is like a landscape. It can be amazing like the tropical sceneries in Costa Rica, it can have a kind of a rough beauty like the landscapes in Patagonia, or it can be clear like the lines in the Atacama desert, and full of surprises and contradictions like the USA.
A landscape doesn´t react on the presence of the photographer, but every human being does in his own manner, whether in a foto studio or on location. It´s ideal when the model is able to forget about the camera in the room, or even to capture it, or better to conquer it. This is not only part of the model, but most of all part of the photographer.
You can take good and natural pictures when people are in their own setting, environment or house. Click on portrait | people and have a look.
Fashion photography is often androgynous and kind of unreachable cool. This is part of the art. Fashion photography is nearly always artificial. It depends on to forget about the artificiality by it´s own fascination.
The fascination of the finished surface as an expression of a cultural status or evanescent „Zeitgeist“.
Otherwise I´d like to see other impressions than high end finished bodies and faces and styled up locations, unreachable, unreal and somehow equal. Me for myself abstain from too much manipulation.
In my work I try to find a middle course,...I should better say a ridge walk.
The AV- Show that you can find at "Audio Vision", is an example for an audiovisual presentation with projectors on big surfaces such as cinema screens.
Nude photography is showing an aesthetic picture of human being and his body and expression, wich wouldn´t be possible to show with covering clothes on.
The reportage photographies are showing people in determined environments under determined conditions, that are defining the actions. Those where printed in divers magazines.

Retratos y imágenes de personas son unos de los campos de actividades más interessantes, no importa si sea dentro de la moda o dentro del retrato.
Aqui pueden ver una pequeña parte de mi trabajo.
La cara del ser humano es como un paisaje. Puede ser maravilloso como la zona tropica de Costa Rica, una belleza rugosa como la Patagonia, amplia y clara como las lineas del desierto de la Atacama y llena de sorpresas como los paisajes de los Estados Unidos de America.
Pero un paisaje no responde a mi presencia, pero cada persona me responde en su misma manera, sea en el estudio o en qualquier locación. Idealmente un modelo se olvide de la camera o tal vez pueda aprovecharla y tome la posessión de ella. Esto no es solamente algo del modelo, si no por la mayor parte, algo del fotógrafo. Imágenes buenos y naturales se consiguen con frenquencia si las personas están situadas en su entorno natural, porque en este caso se presentan en un campo de expresión natural. En el menu „Portrait | People“ pueden ver un imágen del dicho.
Fotografías de moda aparecen repetidamente inabordable. Esto es deseado, porque fotografía de moda casi siempre es artificial. El intento es olvidarse de la artificialidad por motivo de su misma y asi darle una fascinación. La fascinación del la superficialidad como expresión de una condición cultural o un espiritu fugal de una época inmediata.
En otro caso queremos ver también otras cosas que cuerpos, caras ylocaciónes abrillantados y satinados. Clones de la cinta de laca de Photoshop. Demasiadas manipulaciones no me gustan.
En mi trabajo estoy buscando tambien untérmino medio para conseguir este deseo.
En "Audio-Vision" encontraran un exemplo para una presentación audiovisual con proyectores para pantallas de cine.
La fotografía de nudas muestran un imagen del ser humano que gana su belleza y expresión por motivo de su cuerpo, sin la ropa que por demás lo taparía
Las fotografías de reportage muestran el ser humano en un ambiente determindado en situaciónes determinadas que deciden su acción. Fueron imprimidas en revistas distintas.
